We invite you to join us for a virtual, Certification Assistance Program training session designed to help you register your business as a Veteran Business Enterprise. Attaining this status will qualify your firm for numerous benefits, including: Opportunities to participate in a number of programs which are designed to promote contracting opportunities for VBE firms Veteran/small business JV bid incentive – 5% for eligible joint ventures and small, local, veteran-owned businesses Veteran-owned subcontractor bid incentive – up to 2% for utilization of veteran-owned subcontractors Service-disabled veteran-owned businesses can also apply to be certified as a Business Enterprises Owned or Operated by People with Disabilities (BEPD) Listing in City of Chicago Certified Firms Directory. During this FREE session, we will guide you through the application process for this certification, which will open doors to lucrative opportunities and provide you with the tools you need to succeed. Knowing that not everyone can make our 3rd Monday of the month VBC breakfasts, we are adding a monthly "VBC Business After Business" meet up in the evenings. This will take place the first Tuesday of each month at the Naperville VFW. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 5th from 6-8pm at the Naperville VFW (908 Jackson Ave, Naperville). The bar will be open and we will have pizza and some other snacks. This initial meet up will be less structured with mostly peer to peer interaction and maybe a few remarks.
