Jennifer Slown
Advisory Board Member

Jennifer Slown enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2009, deploying to Afghanistan in 2011 and the Horn of Africa in 2013. She commissioned as an officer in 2016 and continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve as the Marine for Life Representative for the Chicagoland area.
In 2015, Jennifer and her husband, Scott, founded Veteran Team Real Estate, a full-service real estate group serving both residential and commercial clients. Along with their team of agents, they assist clients with buying, selling, and investing in real estate throughout Northern Illinois. In addition to her real estate work, Jennifer founded the Veteran Business Connection, a networking organization in the western suburbs that meets twice monthly to connect, mastermind, and support veteran-owned businesses. The group also hosts an annual Veteran-Owned Business Showcase Fair, open to the public, giving the community an opportunity to learn about and support local veteran-owned businesses. Jennifer is an ardent supporter of veteran entrepreneurs and is passionate about referring business to and promoting other veteran-owned companies.
When she’s not serving in the Marine Corps Reserve or running her businesses, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their three children. She is deeply committed to giving back to the veteran community, serving as Senior Vice Commander of the Naperville VFW. She is also an active member of the Naperville American Legion, the Women Marines Association, and the Toys for Tots program, and serves as chairwoman for multiple veteran-focused fundraisers and charitable causes.
