Chief Legal Officer

Tracy has been involved with Veteran Business Project (VBP) since its inception, having filed the original nonprofit paperwork in 2013. A Michigan native, she graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in both English and Linguistics. Directly upon graduation, Tracy moved to Washington, D.C., and began her career on Capitol Hill with the Senate Sergeant at Arms. She attended law school and received her juris doctorate from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School in 1997. Moving to Chicago in 1998, Tracy opened Leona Agency, Inc., focusing on freelance legal work as well as publishing consulting for aspiring authors. Her experience managing Leona Agency, as well as her eight years of experience as a contract attorney at two area law firms, prepared her for her current role at VBP. She appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with such an exceptionally dedicated team.
