Robert L. Elder, a second generation graduate of the University of Illinois, grew up in the Central Illinois community of Sullivan.   He is a six year veteran of the Army National Guard, serving in a rifle company of the 2nd Battalion of the 130th Infantry Regiment.  He is the father of two sons.  Mr. Elder and his sons all earned the Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America.  One son is a history teacher in the Central Illinois area.  The other is currently serving on active duty as an officer in the United States Army. Bob served as a volunteer in the local troop, district, and council of The Boy Scouts.  He is the recipient of the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver.  He started his real estate brokerage and appraisal business in 1984, and is currently licensed as a Managing Broker and a Certified General Appraiser in the State of Illinois.
